Max 80s are South Bay’s 80s era new wave and classic alternative cover band, playing dance-able favorites from Cheap Trick and the Cars to INXS and Duran Duran. Max 80s were originally formed in 2017 as M80s, and rebranded as Max 80s in 2019.
Max 80s members were active in the 80’s glam rock scene in Hollywood, the 90’s alternative movement in San Diego, and the East Coast College scene. Max 80s members have also played in South Bay favorites One Digit Down and Crow Hill Band as well as Nor-Cal’s Carr Tones.
Max 80s don’t wear funny costumes or wigs. They put on a great, high energy show, engaging audiences with all the hits you remember, and look sharp while doing it. No shorts or flip flops here. And while Max 80s members were around for the ’80s, they are not in their 80s!
When you book Max 80s for your club, corporate event, or private party, you can be sure they’ll be pros and bring the fun. Notable performances in the past year have been Hey 19 Public House, Hermosa Saloon and The Standing Room in the South Bay, Slide Bar and House Of Blues Foundation Room in Orange County and corporate events including RPA advertising agency and Mercury Insurance.
