Mike grew up in rural Holtville, farmland in Southeast California.  He took piano lessons from age 5 to 12.  After a 35-year hiatus, he took it up playing again and joined local South Bay cover bands, Crow Hill and Sound & Silence. Mike has wide musical tastes, but his passion is for late 70’s and 80’s rock and new wave.  When the chance came to start Max 80s from the ground floor, Mike was all in.  When not practicing or performing, he works for Fox Sports as an advertising executive.
